What suburbs does Swan-Hills LETS cover?
This LETS is firmly established in the ‘Perth Hills’ localities of the Darling Ranges and nearby suburban areas. We have members from Morley to Sawyers Valley, and from Pickering Brook to Middle Swan, with a couple of outlying members in places like Toodyay and Belmont.

What sort of goods or services can I offer?
Members offer a wide range of goods and services - everything from professional services like taxation accounting, website design, pest control and manuscript editing to housecleaning, babysitting, dog walking and garden maintenance. Goods may be anything from fresh produce like fruit, eggs or preserves to near-new or secondhand household items; you might also wish to offer equipment such as trailers, mulchers, mowers or chainsaws for hire to other members (this eliminates the need to own all these items oneself and thus reduces our consumption as a community.)

Do I have to have to sell something before I can buy?
No you don’t. However, you are encouraged to offer your goods and services freely (within reason) to other members who may contact you. Recently the Committee has decided that it’s unwise to allow members to get into a negative balance of more than (??) gumnuts; if you think this might happen to you then talk with a Trustee.

Who is responsible for recording transactions?
The person who provides the goods or service is generally expected to record the transaction, after checking/confirming the details with the recipient (it’s usually best to do this at the time you conclude the transaction.)

How do I record my transactions?
Preferably you will record your transactions in the (very user-friendly!) members' area of this website; otherwise you can forward details of your transaction in writing to:
The Secretary
PO Box 1189
Kalamunda WA 6926

How do I get to meet others in this LETS?
Come to a busy bee (they’re always advertised on the members’ forum) or one of the regular social events like the Winter Feast or even to one of the members’ meetings - details of these are always circulated by email and in the newsletter. Or just ring up a Trustee and have a chat over a coffee!

What else is on this site?
There’s a members’ forum, the trading directory, newsletters, general interest LETS information, links to other sites, etc. Go for a browse…

Can I record transactions to ex members?
This might happen if you've been a bit slow about recording transactions.
Just email the transactions coordinator with all the usual details of the trade and it will be done.

Can I trade with other LETS?
Yes you can but check the details of this with a Trustee before you proceed, as the transaction recording process is a bit different.
